June 22, 2013 Wedding

Our month long rainy trend let up and delivered 3 beautiful days just in time for this fun wedding weekend at Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington.

The weekend began with a welcome barbecue on Friday night. Sunflower arrangements were placed on some of the outdoor tables with lanterns on others.
Wedding day was beautiful!
A ceremony sign directed guests to the ceremony site overlooking the lake.
Color scheme for this wedding was yellow, green and red.
Green trick dianthus, ranunculus, garden roses, hypericum, freesia and jasmine vine were used in the bridal bouquet.
The birch arch was decorated with sprays of white and yellow orchids.
Another view of the bridal bouquet.
Attendant bouquets were made similar to the bridal bouquet.
Groom boutonniere was made with yellow ranunculus.
Bridesmaid bouquets were wrapped with green polkadot grosgrain ribbon, keeping with the fun relaxed feel, red Tom's shoes, and polka dots on the bride's dress.

A view of the ceremony site.
Old windows set on easels were used to display menus.
The bride and her family made hundreds of origami cranes in the months leading up the the wedding. Origami paper cranes are meant to bring eternal happiness and good luck. I love this idea!
The day before the wedding, all of the cranes were hung over the dance floor.
The "guest book" consisted of blocks of wood from the game
"Tumbling Towers" guests wrote their wishes on.
Escort seating cards were displayed in birch logs.
This couple had a pie table instead of the traditional cake.
Pieces of wood were set on the pie table waiting for the delicious pies.
A view of half the tent. Look at all those cranes!!
The reception tables had mixed yellow, red and green flowers arranged in vintage vases.
Most were sourced by the bride and her Mom, some by me.

Each guest also had a crane to take home with them!
I can't wait to see the pros photos!
I wish Holly and Alex all the best! Holly and her Mom were so, so fun to work with!!
