Happy St.Patrick's Day!

Every year, my Irish husband requests the traditional St. Patrick's Day meal of corned beef and cabbage with all the fixings including carrots, potatoes, turnips and beets. This is not my favorite meal but if making it (once a year) makes the hubby happy..we do for the ones we love:)

I love all flowers green, ones that are naturally green anyway, not sprayed or dyed please! I particularly love moss, ivy and babies tear plants! I found this photo on Country Living showing adorable little baby tears planted in large vintage muffin tins.

So cute! These would make a great centerpiece for weddings. Picture it setting next to an old lantern or surrounded with mercury glass votive holders on top of burlap! I love the idea of using any vintage vessel with wildflowers, herbs, moss or whatever would work best for your container. Thrift stores, yard sales, or even ebay are great places to find some great old containers.
Happy shopping and Happy St. Patrick's day! Time to start cooking.
