If you're planning a small wedding (up to 50 people), the Apple Hill Inn in Taftsville, just outside Woodstock, Vermont, is one place you should consider. The setting is beautiful, the Innkeepers gracious, and the Inn itself is gorgeous.
The bride this past weekend wanted an elegant bouquet of white calla lilies and white freesia with some greenery. Her bouquet, shown below, was wrapped with ivory ribbon.

Top view of bridal bouquet.
The maid of honor wore a fuchsia colored dress and carried a bouquet of dark pink calla lilies, wonderful smelling stock, dahlias and lisianthus.
Her bouquet was wrapped in ribbon the same color as her dress.
The ceremony site was on the lawn with beautiful rolling hills in the background. It was such a nice day!
Close-up of the ceremony decorations. Flowers included calla lilies, white and dark pink roses, dahlias, hydrangea, stock and snapdragons.
Centerpieces inside the dining room were large arrangements filled with white calla lilies and roses.
All my best Jen and Brian!

Zinnias, beautiful zinnias!

This colorful wedding took place last Saturday at Hawk Inn and Mountain Resort in Plymouth, Vermont. All of the arrangements and bouquets included mixed colored zinnias with the focus being on yellow. The birch arbor was the perfect backdrop for this ceremony held in a field with a view of  the mountains in the background. Large side arrangements were made in old sap buckets.
Close-up of sap bucket arrangement below.

Bright yellow rose petals were scattered in front of the arbor.

The bridal bouquet was made with all different colored zinnias, including some white with white caspia.
All seven attendants wore bright yellow dresses and carried bouquets of brightly colored zinnia and greenery wrapped with yellow gingham ribbon.
I made a wreath of bright yellow daisies for the couples dog who was included in the ceremony. So cute, can't wait to see photos!
Simple centerpieces of mixed wildflowers, including some zinnias of course, were made in quart size mason jars with yellow gingham ribbon wrapped necks.
Unbeknownst to me, the couple named all reception tables after Michael Jackson songs!
I reminisced while setting the flowers in place:)
Congratulations Tanya & Tim!

Sunflower Wedding

The Fullerton Inn located in Chester, Vermont was fortunate to have sunny skies as they hosted this wedding ceremony and reception. The bride and groom were very happy as their the ceremony was planned to take place outdoors! I was grateful everything worked out as I delivered this birch trellis the day before and was hoping to be able to go ahead and decorate as planned.
Sunflowers were the flower of the day! They were included in everything from all the bouquets, trellis decoration and centerpieces.
Bride's bouquet below included wine colored spray roses, hypericum berries and 2 different colored sunflowers. Stems were wrapped in wine colored fabric that was the same as her attendants dresses.
Attendants all carried bouquets made of just sunflowers and some greenery. (Unfortunately I ran out of time and wasn't able to get a photo of those bouquets.)
The dining room at The Fullerton Inn is the same wine color as the attendant dresses and ribbon on the centerpieces! The centerpieces were made in wine carafes with sunflowers, berries and greenery and each table was named after a different type of wine.
Best wishes!!

Wildflowers!

Nothing is more perfect than wildflowers for an outdoor Vermont wedding on a simply gorgeous summer day! For this wedding, locally grown wildflowers were used for almost everything with the exception of the addition of beautiful white garden roses included in the bride's bouquet shown below.
Some of the flowers included were lisianthus, ageratum, tansy, queen anne's lace, buplerum, millet, asters, zinnia and daisies.
All five attendants wore black dresses and carried colorful mixed wildflower bouquets that were all made a little different from each other. Three of the five are shown here.
Simple centerpieces consisted of one large and one small mason jar each with a different selection of wildflowers and tied with ribbons.
Very simple and colorful!
Congratulations and all the best Kate & Adam!
